A reflection on memory, form, and the regional glassmaking techniques of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, where the author was born and raised.


Each object in the series is composed of various glass components, visually rooted in the tradition of hot glasswork. These shapes reference the typical forms once produced in the artist’s father’s glass factory, echoing a regional aesthetic that has now almost entirely disappeared. The works are constructed from fragments of glass - cut, polished, and reassembled - preserving the traces of their origins while transforming them into something new.


This collection is deeply personal. It serves as a meditation on nostalgia and the passage of time, elevating what was once considered ordinary “tourist glass” into sculptural works of
art, imbued with memory, history, and quiet reverence.
